In No Rush
I am now in my 4th year of being on Weight Watchers. I have lost about 82 pounds on WW and a total of about 92 from my highest weight. I should have already been to my goal weight by now but I fell off track for about 4 months in 2015 and gained back 19 pounds. In October 2015, I recommitted to the program and have been going strong ever since. I am about 10 pounds away from my goal. I am not going lie, it takes work. I have a new lifestyle that includes planning, tracking and being accountable. The road to get here has not been a straight one. It has had ups and downs and I have often referred to be on “Team Turtle” because the weight loss has been slow. Once I realized this is not a diet but a lifestyle change, things clicked for me. I no longer worry about how fast I shed the weight. I decided that I needed balance. I wanted to lose weight but still enjoy good food. I knew this meant I would not be able to continue eating all the same things I ate before on a regular basis but I didn’t want to feel guilty when I do eat it. I do not want to ever feel deprived. I have learned to look at the big picture and I know that the scale does not define me. I have a quote (that I am not sure who to give credit to for writing it) but I couldn’t agree more. “You can’t rush something you want to last forever”.
