Top 5 Must Haves

Awhile back there was tag going around Instagram to post our Five Weight Loss “Must Haves”. I participated and posted the following items. There are more items but these are the first 5 things that came to mind.

1.  Positive Attitude - A good attitude is very important. You must believe in yourself and have a positive outlook that you can do it. Stinking thinking will get you nowhere.

2.  Support System - A support system can come from various people – family, friends, Weight Watchers meetings, social media groups. I believe we are stronger together.

3.  Tracker (I use the Weight Watchers App) - Keeping a food diary is a must for me. I have been diligent in tracking everything (the good, bad and the ugly). There have been a few times that I have chosen to not track a planned indulgence or while I am on vacation. If we do so, it's important to get right back on track and do not allow ourselves to slip off the slippery slope of non-tracking.

4.  Food Scale/Measuring Cups and Spoons - In order to properly track, we must know our portion sizes. I think it’s worth investing in a digital food scale, measuring cups and spoons. I have an entire drawer of cups and spoons.

5.  Healthy Snacks - I always like to have healthy snacks handy. Especially fruit and protein bars. There are days that I want to eat everything in sight. Having healthier options to quickly grab, helps ward off eating stuff like chips and candy.
